Summary
Both squads start off with the ‘standard’ defense of two infantries and one heavy. Black Dragon Society’s offense consisted of Seifer (packing JT), LiNgo (repping infil++), Shyne (SL), Soldier (infantry) and Flame (infantry). Black Dragon Society’s offense was continuous; Shyne didn’t die, and Epidemic hardly flanked. Epidemic’s five foot-Jump Trooper offense did not get far, as Black Dragon Society’s defense usually wiped the floor with them. At D6, Black Dragon Society’s five made it to the flag room enough times to damage turrets unswervingly. Epidemic’s JTs only made it far enough to bounce a few spammed grenades into Black Dragon Society’s defense. If Epidemic’s offense got too far, Black Dragon Society was there to flank and swing in time. While Black Dragon Society’s offense is at it, Seifer grabs Epidemic’s flags, LiNgo attaches, and repels Seifer to safety. Due to a dysfunctional keyboard, Black Dragon Society’s medic (Thor+) was unable to summon Seifer. Seifer had to rush back to A7 on his death board. Near the bottom bridge, Seifer disembarks his DB, and attaches to home. Little did Seifer know, he had picked up forty rockets (!) and was overweight. This caused Seifer to lag behind, and Epidemic’s advancing ten-man offense to slay him (gammanco) before he could scurry back to the flag room.

A fracas evolves, and Epidemic’s JTs rush the flag room. Black Dragon Society’s base gets trampled under pressure, and Epidemic takes control of the A7 flag room. Epidemic grabs Black Dragon Society’s six flags, and Emp (Black Dragon Society) kills gammanco (Epidemic) for the remaining one. Black Dragon Society frantically attaches to Emp, to save him from certain peril, successfully. After the short-turned melee, the two teams end up swapping flags, leaving Black Dragon Society turret-less. Similie quickly rebuilds the Black Dragon Society turrets, while Seifer heads to Epidemic’s base to keep pressure on them. After a quasi-turtle, Black Dragon Society is back on their feet. Black Dragon Society’s quick offense damages most of Epidemic’s turrets, and Seifer is able to grab the six flags on his drop pack. Lioneln is killed; Soldier and Seifer team up on the sentry; and Seifer is summoned home. The A7 defense drops their reps, and LiNgo goes to work. With Epidemic’s five JTs, it is difficult for LiNgo to repulse all of them, and few stragglers get by to abort. Black Dragon Society’s turrets are wiped clean due to constant grenade spamming, friendly and enemy, and there are a few aborts. Black Dragon Society then deracinates the Epidemic offense, and runs to A3 to delay Epidemic‘s advance. With a plethora of repulsor coils about, LiNgo is able to successfully repulse the onslaught of packers. Epidemic does not make it in time to abort again, and Black Dragon Society wins. GG both teams.

Observations
Black Dragon Society’s offense was superior to Epidemic’s defense. Black Dragon Society’s two infantries were able to divert Epidemic’s defenders, while Seifer and LiNgo went for the flag room. I don’t know of Epidemic was oblivious to Seifer being on a pack, or if they just had a fixation on killing Soldier and Flame. Epidemic’s JT offense was sub-par at best. Epidemic’s assault was lingering to get to Black Dragon Society’s base, due to no anchor or squad leader. Epidemic might have changed the result of the match if they had an infil or squad leader as a substitute for one of their JTs. An infil would have lead to 1) being able to repulse for their JT offense, 2) being able to repulse for home, 4) an anchor for their offense, or 4) being able to flank quickly and with precision. A squad leader would have been helpful for 1) quickly summoning their JT offense, 2) summoning for flanks, or 3) summoning for rushing or for defending home. Also helpful for Black Dragon Society, Similie switched the turrets to accommodate for packers at the close of the match, which no doubt helped.
