The game starts, SS takes Hill86 while Epi settles down in D6 close by. In the beginning SS’ “for fun” defense seemed to be holding up quite well against Epidemics O. Epi’s D was not as fortunate. SS had several attacks getting deep into the D6 base damaging Craem’s turrets on several occasions. Even though they were taking a constant beating Epidemics organized swing defense came back to save what was left of their D each time proving just how durable their D really was. Until about 10 min. into the game when Epidemic changed strategies… the SS defense was pretty much untouched. gammanco switched from SL to Infil, and they dropped another one of their offense to put Elite Obsession in as Infil also. The persistent duo of gammanco and Elite Obsession kept the SS D’s hands full while HeavenlyKnight was able to unleash havoc on SS’ turrets w/ his AC. Since SS needed to keep more men on D to shut down the reformed Epidemic offense, the Epidemic defense was able to go into Semi-Turtle mode (6 people at home), and stop Shadow Syndicate’s continuous attacks on their base. While no one was attacking the Epidemic base, they were able to quickly swing to SS’ hill and Dream grabbed all 4 flags. He was summoned home and the rest of Epi’s D came shortly after. While Epi was getting Shadow’s flags, Shadow had an attack flowing of their own, but Epi was able to shut it down and safely drop their newly captured flags. Wait, what’s this? Launchpad among other fellow SS are making a dashing attempt to abort… oh well, not dashing enough. Victory goes to Epidemic. Perhaps Epi won because of their teamwork and organized offensive and defensive coordination. Maybe it was because Chuckie was not there for SS to abort potential Epidemic victories, or maybe it was just because it did not seem like SS took the match as seriously. Nonetheless Epidemic takes the win and clenches 3rd place for CTFPL. Congrats.
