It’s time to go to war!

USL Hotline (HL) begins the match by heading north through the B6 passage.

Apocalypse (Apoc) heads south through the I3 ridges.

HL would eventually circle most of the map before deciding at the I4 ridges to head into the center.

Nearly 5 minutes into the match we’ve got action! HL spots Jordan at F4. They chase him east before having to turn back because of enemy fire coming from southwest. 

Tactical draws first blood against Octavian.

5:16 – Lana Del Rey takes a LAW to the blue jeans.

Emp – “whichever apoc player died must feel so embarrassed”

An exchange begins at D6, LDR and Mizzouse take on Furcifer, Octavian and Lemon. An Apoc flank arrives, Furcifer and Lemon meet the true death while Octavian runs for the hills.

noskeeper, probably from being zoomed out, meets a hail of fire at D4 resulting in second death for Apoc.

10 minute score check – Apoc up 24-2

7:30 – GUERILLA double grenade kill as he and Tactical converge down upon a fleeing HL unit.

10:35 – DoomTrooper LAW snipes Jordan

With battle taking place around the buildings at D6, Furcifer and Torch manage a 1on1 duel with Tactical coming out on top (100 HP).

14:10 Jordan delivers a LAW snipe to Infinite, the same fate he received several minutes earlier. 

Beginning with Tactical, HL is able to clear Apoc from the D7 hanger while noskeeper watches on helplessly from the other side of the wall.

Half way into the match at 14:35 we have our first sub; Apoc specs Mizzouse for Universal Soldier 2k. Less than 30 seconds later noskeeper is spec’d for Hiro.

Uni and Hiro get their first glimpse of action at G5. 

While holding at the F5 rocks, Lemon and Adje are cleared by a flank courtesy of Torch and LDR.

18 minutes in HL subs out DoomTrooper for CTFPL legend Emp.

The squads meet again at the E7 ridges where much HL blood is spilled. After failing to land a single shot as ripper, Jordan manages a double LAW kill on NightmarE and Infinite.

After spending a majority of the match in spec, Apoc captain Apollo enters the game via a Universal Soldier 2k spec. 

20 minute score check – Apoc up 58-13

Having switched classes from marine, Octavian finds more successful as sniper with a kill on LDR at G6 forcing Hiro and Tactical to backpedal more than they probably wanted to. 

An HL push is met with disappointment as Apoc back up is a comin round the mountain.

One final exchange at the D7 hanger adds a couple of kills to both squads. Final death honors go to Torch.

Apoc is victorious, final score 105 – 28

Abbath – Apocalypse hasn’t been around since season 2 of Free Infantry USL. How does it feel to be back at it again with your gang of guys?

Apollo – FeelGoodMan

Abbath – Were you satisfied with how Apoc played tonight?

Apollo – Very satisfied aside from Lana del Rey playing bad.

Abbath – You began the match with yourself in spec and quite a few spectators commented on it. Why didn’t you put yourself in the starting line-up?

Apollo – wanted to get everyone playtime, and I’m probably the worst marine on the squad.

Infinite

Abbath – First match is against seasoned vets Apocalypse. What were your goals going into this match?

Infinite – Just have fun and play with the new people.

Abbath – What would you say you need to work on most?

Infinite – Teamwork and communications basically.
