Scenario – Members of an elite force are sent to investigate recent horrific occurrences in the ruins of the lost city of Alioth.

Please note – 1 day = 1 minute

Dear journal,

I hope to write to you over the next month, explaining the events that occur on my quest. I will give a day by day account:

It is day one of the exploration; the unit has scanned across the immediate surface area and found the traces of a mercenary unit, we believe to part of the Black Dragon Society. We plan on tracking their movements and launching an attack on their base.

Day 1 (continued) – We have setup base camp at coordinates of A7, and sent a scout party out East to locate the unit.

Day 2 – We have located the BDS threat at the coordinates of D7, I ordered the unit to attack under the command of Squad Leader Incutt. They attacked with a 6 person strong offensive manoeuvre and shook their defensive structured, but no damage to report as of yet.

Day 3 – BDS retaliated with an attack, lead by their offensive commander Herthbul. Ken Masters threatened our position with GL fire and rapid Deathboard runs, accompanied by LiNgo, the infamous Infiltration expert, using his Enhanced Cloaking Unit to full effect. Melantho and OsirisAP+ held defensive positions on both flanks defeating the enemy threat.

Day 4 – We have sent another 6 person attack to D7 in attempt to destroy the defensive structures, but unfortunately we unable to create sufficient damage to halt their attacking tactics.

Day 6 – BDS have ran their Infiltrator and Jump Trooper strategy for the past 2 days now, but have yet to cause any damage to our troops or Automated Turrets. Melantho and Verb counter attacked, and killed Herthbul, slowing the process of attack.

Day 10 – It has been a slow process of attack for us. Fighting on both fronts is taking its toll on our troops and I fear it is not much longer before there is a break on the away mission. Continuously attacking their defence, we scrambled to make ground, and we were finally beaten off by LiNgo using his Enhanced RFG to drain and repulse our troops backwards.

Day 11 – Twin Force, Genex, JDAM, Kdhafi and S.L. Incutt have been pressuring the BDS camp since early this morning in Operation Red Boot, but we are still not gaining the necessary ground to launch a full attack campaign.

Day 13 – We finally gather the ground we require, but the tactical decisions of Thor, their Chief Medical Assistant have outdone our movements, as he called for reinforcements and beat back our efforts again.

Our defence has not seen much action the past few days, and our resources have been pushed to the D7 coordinate for a complete attack.

Day 14 – Earlier today we experienced a distinct lack of communication between our defending troops, allowing LiNgo to infiltrate our base and capture the flags for the 90 timer. It was aborted instantly, and Melantho launched an onslaught of Shotgun fire upon Herthbul, killing him once again.

Day 17 – The battles have been quiet in the past few days, but in recent hours, Ken Masters has been spotted hovering with a Droppack at A4, in preparation for another attack on our base camp. Ken Masters got very deep flying over the defence turrets and into the flag room, where LiNgo attached and used his Sunspots to melt the Sentry and escape with the base flags. We were fortunate to stop him, but we kept strong.

Day 19 – The moral of the troops is dropping with the continuous attacks resulting in irrational decisions. Melantho chased Herthbul in attempt at killing him, but failed.

Day 20 – The attacks are more frequent now, and Ken Masters once again skipped past our defence and allowed LiNgo to attack deep into the base, sounding the timer for a second time. Fortunately we were able to abort instantly once more.

Day 23 – My sanity is deserting me. It’s been 23 days of gruelling battle warfare and I have taken to the bottle to help myself concentrate.

Day 25 – LiNgo has kept me awake for 72 hours straight, with his attacks. He managed to lay a Teleport Beacon in the bottom corner of A7 base, which ended in nothing serious.

Day 25 (continued) – Incutt has not responded in 5 days now, we are blind to the events that are occurring at D7.

Day 26 – We finally made radio contact with S.L. Incutt, reports have been scurrying in all morning. Our offensive mission is still pressing with Operation Red Boot, and still unsuccessful.

Day 27 – We have changed our tactics of offence. Operation Food Parcel & Operation Kill ‘Em is underway. OFP is my main plan; to supply our troops with enough food and water to last another month in the field, and refresh themselves for OK’E.

We launched our final attack of the day, and managed to destroy a Sentry and seriously damage their turret system before TaiMaishu repaired the damage done.

Day 28 – We have located a mineral source at coordinates B3, we currently are undertaking a mining operation to ensure that Exelus, our Chief Medical Assistant can heal the wounded soldiers in the barracks medical quarters.

We have also launched another attack, Operation Kill ‘Em [part 2] which caused the BDS unit to form a square of attacks and effectively push our forces out with their own military strategy, Operation Turtle.

Day 29 – It is 3:15am and I had gotten word of a disturbance outside the barracks, at a near by security gate. I myself lead the investigation into the mysterious sounds. It appeared everything was in order, so I called off the mission and ordered a fall back of all troops at the security position, with strict orders to bring back anything deemed important in the fight against BDS.

Day 34 – I have returned from my mission, and reported back to my post awaiting orders from General M.artyr.

Day 34 (continued) – General M.artyr has dispatched his orders which were received by Lieutenant Melantho, ordering an immediate dispatch of extra troops to rendezvous at the coordinate of D7 alongside S.L. Incutt to effectively help the attack on the BDS defence turrets. I have forced BDS on the defensive once more, as their troops reported in for duty to breach their occupied base camp. They have slowed down my forces.

Day 36 – The battles commenced throughout the night, with high casualty lists. BDS launched a counter attack, their Infantry man Legend forcing his way past the flank of our troops, dangerously attacking our turrets. He has managed to kill 1 MG turret, Sentry and seriously damage the RT turret, before being beaten back.

Day 38 – The order was given for a new mission. Operation RT Death. The main objective was to destroy the powerful and effective defence turret of BDS’s base in order to develop effective control of their base camp.

Day 40 – We have managed another attack on the D7 base, but still little to report at the moment.

Day 41 – With the tempo I have masterfully gained in the last attack, I ordered my troops to strike the BDS unit base with as much fire power as possible.

Reports indicate that BDS turret system was seriously damaged, as the MG, RT and first Sentry are destroyed, leaving the remaining MG, Sentry and Plasma in a critical “Code Red” situation. BDS have been reported to be scouting the surrounding base and ordering attacks to counter the massacre of General M.artyr.

Day 45 – General M.artyr ordered a full attack again, the second I have undertaken in 2 days now. I fear if we fail, we may be left vulnerable. 8 players have been placed in the away mission, leaving 2 behind with the difficult task of defending base camp in the absence of the main defence core. Genex, Twin Force, Kdhafi and Melantho rushed into the flag room, destroying everything in their path, defensive turrets and several unit mercenaries. However, our efforts were thwarted and the BDS unit escaped safely to the coordinate of E1. Where they took shelter and rested.

50 – S.L. Incutt has reported heavy casualties attacking the E1 base. I believe we can now win the battle and control the city as ordered. I received further orders from General M.artyr to use adequate amount of force to secure the victory. With this in mind, I launched another attack, effectively defeating the BDS unit on a glorious day, pushing deep into the Base.

Day 51 – I have ordered rest for the defensive flanks, ensuring full strength when the unit retaliate as expected sometime soon. Exelus and Verb were given supporting duties, and stayed watch over the base.

Day 52 – After 52 days of fighting, there has been a noticeable shaking of my left arm. The tension has taken over me. I do not feel I have long left in me. I declared a charge on the BDS unit, forcing 7 members of the division forward into attack. We were beaten back.

Day 55 – I feel my heart fluttering, my palms grow sweaty and the shaking has worsened. I am very tired, but I continue to drink “Blue Nun” to stay awake.

My attacks have failed so far, and thus I have stepped down and allowed Designer to continue his intelligence informative roll in replacement of my help.

BDS unit has fathomed an attack on our base camp; I can hear the screams and cries as I lay here on my bed. I believe this to be the first attack on this scale. I am shaken.

Day 59 – Today I am feeling better. I heard rumours of our latest attack. Some say we have destroyed BDS unit base for the second time, forcing them to move back to D7. Our troops look more relaxed now.

Day 60 – We have launched an attack on D7 base resulting in more casualties. The infirmary has grown in size, and day by day more players die in the bloody battles.

I feel this war will go on forever.

Day 64 – We have BDS on the back foot now, many think we are winning. I hear joyous laughs and see smiles in place of sorrowful cries. BDS are resorting to almost a full defensive strategy. Only Herthbul and their Jump Trooper, Ken Masters, are attacking our base camp now.

Day 68 – Today I believe I suffered fear beyond the level I have experienced before. Ken Masters had somehow gotten beyond our defences, and flown into my tent. He grabbed the flags, but was unable to escape, before Melantho and OsirisAP+ came to my rescue.

Day 71 – It’s now 3:54am, I am almost asleep, if it were not for the noises ringing through my head.

Day 73 – We have been attacking for 72 days I count now, minus our first day, which was without trouble. Today I was able to get out of bed, and carry myself outside to see my men. We had attacked again today, killing off their RT and hurting their MG turrets. It’s not good enough; we may pay for our weak efforts.

Day 74 – BDS unit retaliated to our recent actions with tactics of their own. They assaulted our base, and managed to infiltrate the base, allowing TaiMaiShu to get inside and reprogram the RT turret. They also managed to kill the Sentry, and hurt the other turrets. Thankfully, Verb and Exelus were at hand to aid our men in securing the gates.

Day 75 – We launched a counter attack of our own, damaging their turrets. I’m pleased with our efforts this far journal, we are strong. I will tell you more tomorrow.

Day 77 – We are still strong, and manage to hold off more attacks today. It is only time before they breach the security of the walls and envelope us in their evil ways.

Day 80 – We are on full defensive, and have 8 players on full alert at base camp. We have been stuck in A7 now since the very beginning. LiNgo is causing us major trouble. Finding his way through our defence, allowing the other members to accompany him further inside. They captured our flags and destroyed all our defence structures. Exelus was again at hand with his Teleport Disruptor blocking any communicational link back to BDS unit’s home base.

Day 85 – It’s been 5 days since I reported back to you last journal. It has been a hectic time. The fighting has settled in parts, and has gone back to even numbers on offence and defence.

Day 85 (continued) – We have attacked again, a full attack with 7 men, killing their RT and MG turret. A truly fantastic triumph.

Day 87 – Ken Masters again attacks at the base, with the support of Herthbul, LiNgo and Legend, before they are beaten back by Melantho, OsirisAP+ and Jojoman.

They attacked twice, the second time they managed to get to the flag room, and capture the flags for the timer, before dying in the flames of Verb.

Day 90 – Today reminded me of my ping pong team, back when I was just a recruit. I hit, they hit back, I hit again. Only this time, like times before, it is war. Our men attacked their base with force, hurting the turrets. But they attacked simultaneously getting the 90 second timer before they were halted and killed.

Day 94 – It’s quietened down again, now a common pattern in the battles. It usually ends up really quiet before an attack. BDS unit attacked again, taking the flags and setting off the timer, but fortune is on our side again, and it is aborted.

Day 96 – General M.artyr ordered another attack this morning, we did some serious damage. But at a great cost, perhaps a great cost.

Day 99 – Ken Masters has been an irritation throughout the war. Repeatedly capturing our flags. Today journal was no exception. Two times in one day has not been done before. If it was not for the bravery of our troops and the excellent work by Exelus, I believe BDS unit would have escaped with our flags.

Day 102 – Melantho has been promoted today, for heroism in action, for saving the life of a fellow soldier, and still managing to kill Herthbul before attacking BDS unit base and really damaging the mercenary’s reputations.

Day 106 – It has been very quiet the past few days, nothing to report. Things are pretty much the same.

Day 109 – I am now strong enough to be on my feet all day. I feel much better.

Ken Masters arrived at our base today, early morn. We allowed him to grab the flags again, despite Jojoman trying to stop him with Micro Missile Launcher. The abort came from Jojoman in the end, a reward able recovery.

Day 110 – General M.artyr attacks back at the BDS unit, killing their defence turrets and killing Thor, the Chief Medical Assistant. We managed to capture the flags, before abort.

Day 111 – Early this morning a mission was underway just after 04:30am, our forces had fought fire with fire and used JDAM’s infiltrating skills to push forward and two times get the BDS unit flags. Both times we failed to hold them.

Day 112 – The attacks continue. We have barred our own defences and have taken to concentrating on solely defeating BDS unit on their grounds. Wave after wave we attacked as the death count rolled up higher. S.L. Incutt performed to highest quality today journal; his work has been of great level. We managed to destroy their base again, but unfortunate circumstances made for an escape route for TaiMaiShu, who won back 2 flags in the heat of battle.

He made it as far as B5 coordinate as reported my Designer.

Day 115 – We have battled hard, and we are now winning the fight. BDS unit have been submissive to our general strength, even more so now. I hear General M.artyr has given orders for a final attack. I will be going to my bed shortly.

Day 117 – After hours of heavy fighting, Twin Force, Genex, Kdhafi and JDAM pushed very deep, allowing Twin Force to collect the enemy flags, and retreat to A7 base camp.

Day 118 – We held off well, but we could not hold off enough. BDS unit were allowed to force their way into our flag room. They aborted any early victory, but we continued to hold all flags.

Day 119 – We have controlled the battle for several days, and the luck of war is very much on our side. We held off most attacks, all forces now positioned in defensive roles General M.artyr’s troops held off for the 60 second timer before an abort was issued but Ken Masters and LiNgo combination. We held our position, where we made a final stand.

Day 120 – The day was here, the enemy were fleeing. We have won.

Journal, this is the last I speak of this war. I hope easier days are upon the journey for General M.artyr.

Martyr won in 120 minutes
