First off I had the privilege to report this final game, which decided the champion of the BOTR tournament. Overall it was a game I expected, if you’re expecting SL championship final type of game you wouldn’t be all that accurate but none the less it was a good game for both squads. The two squads making it to the finals of BOTR were Rejuvenation and Palisades congrats to you both, now let’s see what happened in this final and who will be crowned BOTR champions.
Game 1
REJ (Collective)

REJs Lineup: Diesel, Hoseli, KVQ, Maddux, maise, CwA~Stoid & Psionicjump.
PALIs Lineup: Bus51, Elite Obsession, Emp, Evolution, Franky., Frawg, Mr. Mackaveli & hed.
To start off this fist BOTR championship game PALI and REJ both headed in different directions, REJ heading to j4 then to south and PALI went right to north base. REJ started a hold at H4 then moves into mid at the same time PALI enters north mid. Their first battle occurs here in mid the victor of this first battle was PALI forcing the last 2 of REJs people to fall out of south mid to J4 (Pali leads in kills 5-2). PALI regroups south then heads to J4 they have 5 flags now. They battle it out at J4 to J5 where PALI gets wiped out now REJ is leading in kills 10-8. From J4 REJ moves north, at this time PALI is grouping up at F2 and move into mid, a few of their guys are up at F2 flag still. REJ has guys under north in trees and guys above north base, they battle at G2. REJ wins this fight and groups up in trees east of north base and Pali groups up in trees under north. They end up dueling it out at I2 where hed is out (3deaths). Suddenly Franky. gets specced due to lag and his spot is lost because he had 2 deaths. From here on the rest of PALI are all split up some north/south. REJ move from north to F2 aborting a flag victory by PALI. REJ then sees two lone PALI’s around F3 they push them and take them out easily, its now 6 vs. 2PALI. The last two are killed off at the G1 building, REJ wins this game in 13 minutes 23-15.

Game 2

REJ Starts off south, PALI move north then to mid. REJ is under mid and PALI is inside mid base, their first battle of the game is around H4 inside mid and outside. REJ sends out a flank around the left side of mid, all of PALI is in mid except for Bus51 who goes out on is own right of mid trying to break up REJ’s group under mid where he dies. Most of PALI gets wiped out so REJ moves to J4. Some PALI are at K3 where they see all of REJ rushing towards them, REJ ends up Raping PALI at L3, then falls to north mid. The rest of PALI are in mid and pushes out north killing a bunch of REJs guys. REJ regroups at F2 trees but at this time PALI have the flag win from flagging F2, PALI ends up chasing away REJ’s guys in F2 trees and get the flag victory. Game lasted 12 minutes and PALI had the advantage in kills 14-12.

Game 3

PALI: 1, Elite Obsession, hed & Punch
This game they both end up going south from their drop ships they meet really fast and begin to battle at H4 which REJ wins. PALI has 4 guys who haven’t died yet they fall north and regroup at F2. REJ move up to G2 they start battling once again with PALI, PALI have a few guys going off on their own to south. A Lag out happens at the 25th minute and 1 gets subbed in with 1 life. REJ Gets all flags, PALI aborts in south mid and up at north base. A bit more then half of PALI are at G4 where REJ attack them, REJ has the upper hand here because all 7 of their players move in for the kill. After REJs attacks PALI are down to 4 players left, it’s 7-4. REJ are at I5 now and once again get the flag victory but it’s aborted up at F2. There are only 3 PALI left now, they proceed into north base where they end up getting trapped inside and are easily wiped out. REJ wins game 3 in 8 minutes with 23kills to PALIs 8.

Game 4

Right before the game Bus51 gets put in late so he starts with 1 life. REJ and PALI start off by going their separate ways once again, PALI north and REJ south. From south REJ heads west around north building and grabs the F2 flag and north. Before REJ made it north PALI had entered through north mid and exited south heading for south flag. PALI sits a while in J4 trees then head up north. REJ flags mid and heads for south flag, they hold up at H4. From north PALI enters mid, REJ pushes in through south mid and push and beat up on PALI inside mid (Bus51 is out) .After the fight Psionicjump (REJ) is specced for visual lag. This doesn‘t hurt REJ too bad since the whole game so far they have been fighting a man down, its 7 vs. 6 for PALI. REJ gets somewhat split up, two of REJs men are stuck inside J4, PALI rapes them out. REJ regroups at F2 and PALI are above mid and head into mid. REJ attacks PALI at G2 and sends a flank in and wipes PALI from mid. It’s now 3 vs. 6 for REJ, 2 PALIs are taken out at F2, one lone PALI remains (Punch). He tries to hold in north base but is no match for the rest of REJs team. REJ wins this game and the BOTR championship 3-1 in 12 minutes with a score of 22-7.

Wrap up:
REJ won the Match 3-1 against PALI, both teams at times showed good communication, great leading and execution. PALI had a great advantage in this game in the fact that REJ only had 7 Players to choose from for each game and PALI had numerous players for them to put in. I was very stunned to see that REJ playing shorthanded could still come up with the victory here. Diesels leading must have had impacted the outcome greatly and that the rest of REJ would follow his orders were a key to their success. PALI seemed to get disorganized for a lot of the match, having people splitting up and eventually getting raped by all of REJ was a big problem for them. If PALI could of stayed close together and have better regroups they could have capitalized on REJ being down a man. Overall both teams showed their weakness’ some more then others, and also displayed their determinacy for victory. In conclusion I would like to once again congratulate both squads for making it to the finals and good luck to them in their future in the Skirmish League & good job REJ for becoming the second squad in SL history to win the BORT championships.
